On February 17, 2009, 23 year old Alexandra Gabriela Torrensvilas was pulled over in Hollywood, FL on suspicion of DUI. While pulling her car to the side of the road, she was rear-ended by the officer. After she pulled over the officer administered a field sobriety check which she failed, and she was placed under arrest-fine. What happened next is the real issue. While sitting in the back of the cruiser she overheard officers conspiring to fabricate a story to place the blame of the accident on her.

Though I'm sure this story has been told numerous times by various DUI suspects in the past, this time the police left the dash cam running-oops. The officers can be heard saying "We'll bend this a little bit. She's drunk so it is what it is. I don't want you to make things up ever, it's wrong, but if I need to bend to protect the cop, I'm gonna." After this astonishing statement the officers go on to say "We'll do a little Walt Disney to protect the cop because it wouldn't have mattered because she is drunk anyway." There are far too many ridiculous quotes to mention them all, so I encourage you to watch the video for yourself. Officers can also be heard saying it's funny, as laughter is heard, after concocting a story about a stray cat jumping off her lap had caused the accident. Shortly after he says what happened after that, I don't give a shit, then I'll tell you exactly how to write it so he gets off the hook.

The charges were dropped against her on July 29, 2009 after the DA got hold of the dash cam video. The manner in which the cops behaved is sickening. I am not by any means advocating DUI, but how is anything that the cops say supposed to be taken seriously at this point? The officers are involved in 27 additional pending cases right now, all of which will face scrutiny due to the officers lack of credibility. Police exist to protect and serve the public, not each others interest. How much trouble could the cop actually have gotten into for an accident? Odds are he would have received a slap on the wrist for the offence, instead the cops collectively decided to abuse their power and lie about the facts of the accident. If they were so willing to lie about such an insignificant subject, how far would they go if it were a significant infraction were made on their part?
I want your reaction to this after watching the video, please comment!
