Free speech in this country is under attack and I found another example of this on the YouTube channel Fed Up. You may or may not agree with what the woman in this video is saying, but I think the important thing to realize is that she is merely voicing her opinion. She is not saying anything that could be perceived as threatening and although she drops an F-bomb in the video, it's no worse than watching cable late at night. That IS what free speech is all about, whether you agree or not, everyone in this country has the right to speak their mind until it infringes on someone else's liberties. The woman in this video is making her point known to the crowd via bullhorn... not exactly high tech, but effective. Listen to the cops tell her the SECRET SERVICE was insisting she be arrested. Then they nab her on disturbing the peace when they realize the reason she was arrested was unconstitutional.
One by one our freedoms and liberties are being quietly removed, the government will not come out and say they are going to remove our rights... they prefer to nudge them away, as Cass Sunstein has made clear. They are praying on our apathy, that will give them the chance to take it all away without a chance of revolt. We need to start caring about things that are real in our world and back away from our TVs for a night and look at what is going on around us! WE THE PEOPLE hold the power in this country, the government works for US... but we need to stand up together and remind politicians of that fact. Check out the video and let me know what you think.
