Last week I had shared my views on the Gitmo detainees being tried in a civilian court and already my predictions are being validated. Earlier in the week it was announced that the five 9/11 defendants would plead not guilty in the federal courtroom, even though they had already plead guilty in the military trail that was already underway. A recent poll shows that 51% of the American public disagree with Holder and Obama's decision to try the accused in NYC, while only 29% approve. Despite all of this, the administration is still defending their decision.
So why the not guilty plea? According to an AP article:
Attorney Scott Fenstermaker says his client Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali and the others will not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but will tell the jury "why they did it."
He says the men will explain "their assessment of American foreign policy."
Fenstermaker met with Ali last week at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay. He says the men, including professed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, have discussed the trial among themselves.
Sounds like a circus to me. There are more than enough choices when considering what the worst decision Obama has made since taking the oath of office, but this is clearly the winner. Not only is this disrespectful to the families of 9/11 victims, but it opens the door for another attack on US soil. As we saw earlier in the month with the tragedy at Fort Hood, terrorists do not need to hijack planes to succeed in their Jihadist goals. At this point I have no doubt in my mind that the Obama administration has adopted a pre 9/11 mindset in which they believe we are not at war with radical Islam.
I included the interview with Attorney Scott Fenstermaker from O'Reilly on Monday night below. If you haven't seen this yet, let it serve as a preview for what is on the horizon with the trial. Every circus needs a ringleader, and this clown Fenstermaker seems like he has taken up that position proudly. I also found Fenstermaker's website complete with email address... keep in mind he is a lawyer, so be careful if you decide to contact him.

that's rediculous
This type of lawyer couldn't care less what we think of him
He wants the publicity, probably a book deal, it's all about him, not the detainees
The entire decision by our "leaders" is ridiculous
